Why are you reading this article? The reason you’re reading this is because you want to know if you’re really a nice guy or not, and what you can do about it. You see, there’s a kind of a technical name about it even. The term most people use to explain this phenomen is “nice guy syndrome“. In essence, the nice guy syndrome is the “disease” that nice guys suffer from. This doesn’t answer most of our questions, now does it? It does not explain what the big deal with nice guys is and why its such a controversial subject, now does it? Well, if you want to understand the confusion, then you need to go a bit further. Let’s try to look at the nice guys’ perspective on women.

Do Women Lie When They Say They Want A Nice Guy?

Is it true that women don’t like nice guys? Well, the answer is a further confusing “yes and no”. The thing that makes this a tangled mess is that different people mean different things when they say the term “nice guy”. When women say they want a nice guy, they’re first imagining a man to begin with, not an insecure geek. And only after they have a strong man in their mind, do they imagine this guy doing nice things. On the other hand, a lot of men imagine that if you pretend to like what a woman likes and go out of your way to give her what she wants, that this makes you a nice guy. It does not! If more people understood this distinction, there’d be a lot less arguing on this subject.

In Reality We’re Just Starting To Unravel The Nice Guy Syndrome

The reason psychologists call this a syndrom, is because there’s a whole psychological system going on inside the heads of nice guys. And with the nice guys, the way it works is as a guiding complex of thoughts and beliefs. The most ironic part about all of this, is that nice guys aren’t even conciously aware of most things they do. Most nice-guys, do in fact believe that they are right to feel superior. If you sincerely look at nice guys, you see how they are not as good as they claim they are. Nice guys have a pretty serious lack of intellectual honesty for example when it comes to ignoring their own lack of insincerity.

The thing that nice guys lack most of all is “sincerity”. A nice guy is known to lie and pretend he likes something, just because he thinks that’s what the woman wants to hear. The thing they’re most dishonest about, is their own sexuality. They will pretend like they just want to be a woman’s friend, when they’re not interested in her friendship. A guy like this, will nod and agree with anything a woman says, even if deep inside he disagrees with her. A lot of the time, a guy like this will make excuses for this behaviour, but the truth is, he’s not the angel he thought he was.
